Ashley Green began her career as a commissioned officer in the United States Army assigned to the 170th Military Police Company in Fort Lewis, Washington. Ashley was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There Ashley conducted Police Transition operations in the Rasheed and Mahamudiyah Iraqi Police Districts.

Ashley accepted her next assignment as the Executive Officer of the 787th Military Police Battalion. While in this position, Ashley was selected for, attended and graduated the Military Police Captain’s Career Course. Ashley was distinguished as the recipient of the Leadership Award for the 2007 graduating class. Upon graduating Ashley assumed her next assignment in Mannheim, Germany, within the 18th Military Police Brigade Training section. Ashley served a second tour in Baghdad, Iraq operating as the Brigade Information Officer until she assumed command of the Headquarters Detachment, 95th Military Police Battalion. Ashley would spend the remainder of her deployment on the forward operating base of Rustamiyah within Baghdad. Completing her second combat tour, Ashley returned to the United States and began training leadership skills in the Captain’s Career Course. Ashley completed her military career at Fort Leonard Wood in 2010.

Ashley received numerous commendations and medals during her career within the Army to include the Bronze Star (2), Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal (2), Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge and the Iraqi Campaign Medal (2). Additionally, Ashley received professional training in Hostage Negotiation.

Prior to entering into the United States Army, Ashley graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Communications. Since her retirement, Ashley received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Webster University and has instructed the Critical Incident Peer Support course internationally. Ashley is married to Captain Neil Green.
